Of 124th street bloggosville
Body of an angel
Eyes of the beast
She’s a man eater they say
But her eyes say and shes
Irreparable recalcitrant
Money whoring b..ch
In her eyes I saw
A tortured past
Smothering pressures
Of a stepfather’s lust
Runaway dream
But can’t afford the mental cost
In transitional gazes
You see she’s totally lost
Unfortunately too many beautiful, young ladies have eyes like Susie. A tormented past trickles negativity into the tormented’s future.
This entry is very powerful and reality for many women… Like Alex D said, many young ladies & women have eyes like Susie. It is very unfortunate how one’s past can take over their future…

Because there are traces of her past showing in her eyes, that indicates that she is lost? Perhaps, perhaps not. Granted many people are really, really lost in their past, and, that is tragic to say the least, but, some have grown beyond those times and retain that look of maybe, the knowledge of suffering? Sorry but I refuse to believe that everyone who has that ‘look’ is actually lost or yet suffering… Sometimes that look developed via the suffering and is like a scar. Sometimes it is just the way a person looks, I don’t have any real way to describe this phenomenon but, I guarantee you that not all people who have that ‘look’ are yet lost…
Nonetheless, I loved this piece, it is bittersweet and rings of knowledge and wisdom, and it does apply to many… blessings and peace…
