On Pain Anger and Hopelessness
Aug 26th, 2007 by Felix Alaita
I write not because I have something to say
I write cause am burning with so much pain
My anger is turning my hair to gray
What’s all this talk alas you might say
The frustration of loneliness
Heartache of hopelessness
Pain of dissappoiintment
Drives me to this madness
Have you ever walked in the valley of the shadow of death
The dark tunnels of hapless treks
Where life and friends deny you even breath
Like your existence is of no use to thiers
That is the genesis of this mad written mess
I see a glimmer and know not to stretch or sit and rest
The ulcers I’ve gotten from my soujourning quest
Makes a doubting Thomas of my once optimistic zest
The moral of this scribbling you might ask
Strive for self-sustenance and independence
Cause only your God and parents owe you in life’s quest
Friends and families might withhold favours when you least expect
